How overnight hours are counted

If end is before start, add 24 hours to the end, then subtract, then subtract unpaid break minutes. 22:00 to 06:00 becomes 30:00 − 22:00 = 8 hours.

How many hours is a 10pm to 6am shift? 8 hours before breaks.

How many hours is 7pm to 7am? 12 hours before breaks.

Does this include night differential? No. Extra night pay is a rate, not extra hours on the clock.
