How to read 7.5 hours
Keep the 7. Multiply the .5 by 60: 30 minutes. 7.25 is 7:15. 7.75 is 7:45. 7.50 and 7.5 are the same number.
Is 7.5 the same as 7 hours 50 minutes? No. That would be 7 + 50/60 ≈ 7.83 hours.
Why does 9 to 5 with lunch show 7.50? 8 clock hours minus 30 minutes.
Are 7.50 and 7.5 the same? Yes. Trailing zeros after the decimal do not change the value.
